What is #wildpettorina?

#wildpettorina originated when a group of friends started to have fun by posting their pictures of the beautiful valley they lived, Val Pettorina, at the heart of the Dolomites. It’s wild, the nature is raw and it hasn’t lost its original mountain charm. Soon we realised that #wildpettorina was about more – it was an attitude towards the environment we live in. We want to preserve it’s character, whilst letting everybody else experience what we are. To build a community of mountain lovers and to help each other by providing the best information we can, for free, with no obligation.

What do we hope to achieve?

We are putting it all out there. Everyone of the participants in this project has something to gain – that’s not the point. We want you to discover our valley, with open eyes, with the wonder we first felt when we came here and to run with the wolves like we do. Well ok maybe not actually with them. That would be plain dangerous.

What will you find here?

Our prime goal is to disseminate information, the best we can about what you can do not only in our valley but about our favourite places nearby, so that you can get the most out of your travel. You’ll find information for adventures, about culture, things to do when it inevitably rains, how to help your children discover the mountains and much more.

Meet the team.

Heres the team and what we are into.

Mike Kann

Owner of Casa Alfredino, climber, engineer, Pettorina junkie

I’ve been going to the mountains all my life. First it was the French alps, but at the age of 20 I came to the Dolomites for the first time. I was immediately hooked and have now moved here. I am an engineer and product designer specialising in climbing equipment.
